More Halloween, with MFTWSC142

I'm having fun with all these Halloween crafty goodies. It's fun to use my stuff! I love those sequin stickers; I believe I received those in a Wish RAK package years ago.  Sequins are back in style.  LOL.  For sure.

For the inside, I pulled out two MFT nature sets:  What's Your Sign? and Nature Calls.  I stamped "Happy Halloween" from SU! All Year Cheer 3 on the sign.

The "hi" in the speech bubble are from MFT's Say What? coordinating stamp & die-namics set.   I love love love the Freckled Fawn black candy stripe washi tape!

I love those sequins!  Have I mentioned that already?  I have a sequin "is-shoe".

MIX34, Halloween Style

Still coughing...but at least, it's productive.

I have Halloween crafty goodness out.  Yesterday, when I picked up the MAMBI pad at Michael's, I also picked up more acrylic paint.  Soon, I'll have most shades of the rainbow!  I love acrylic paint!  Mister Huey is pretty good, too.  So when Friday and a new mix-a-bility challenge rolled around...I was ready to go!

MIX34 challenges us to "paint x2".  Acrylic paint + Mister Huey and traditional ink.  Inspired by a Pinterest pin,  I came up with these two:

I love 'em.   The left one is sprayed with Opaque White; the right is "droppered", then dabbed.  I sprayed both with Mister Huey Shine...they are sparkly...no...shiny and not shiny.  There's lots of visual texture, I suppose I could call it that.  I want to rub my fingers across the cards...they are almost smooth...and look like patterned paper!  I'm loving the Martha Stewart glitter die cuts!  I'm down to one witch, one cat and a handful of stars!

Here's the inside of one; both are the same, except the Pebbles Chalkboard stickers (from SC Licorice Double Scoop add-on) are different shapes.  I cut into more MAMBI paper from the 6 x 6 pad!

The witch is flying outside...and they are in line to go visit the haunted house!  OH NO!  wait!  The witch standing in line is throwing a fit because her broom didn't fly fast enough.  LOL.  I wanted to be first, she says, stomping her foot!  Personally, I think her broom went plenty fast enough...she scared the cat!  I think she got lost, too...first she's going west, then she's going east...but HEY! better late than never.

Happy Halloween

I have been blessed with a lovely case of bronchitis.  I'm hoping I'm on the mend because my mojo appeared!  I want to play with Halloween goodies...I mean...make Halloween cards.  So...feeling halfway decent today, after work I went to Michael's.  I picked up some chalkboard paint and a lovely 6 x 6 pad of MAMBI Halloween paper!  I have oodles of 12 x 12 Halloween paper, but that's for scrapbooking only.  **wink wink**   I had no 6 x 6 pads of Halloween paper.  **gasp**  It made perfect sense that I pick up more Halloween paper in the 6 x 6 size.  The scale of the pattern in the 6 x 6 pad is perfect for making cute cards, right?

Being sick, I missed the deadline for the yellow, orange & khaki color combo.  I'm still gonna do my idea.  I disgress.

This is AMMCC8 and SC454

The colors...

...and the sketch.

Now that proper introductions have been made, let's get acquainted.

The mixed media portion is the main panel.  I painted the top with a chalkboard paint!  I love it!  Two coats...one horizontal, let it dry; then one vertical, let THAT dry.  I stamped the greeting with Versamark & white pigment ink (SU! Whisper White craft ink), dumped on white embossing powder (SU! Winter White) and blasted it with the heat gun.

See those CUTE Halloween wood veneers?  From Studio Calico Licorice add-on for the Double Scoop SB kit.  I love them.  I also love that black candy stripe washi from Freckled Fawn that was in the Licorice kit as well.  The glitter cat is from my stash.  He has some companions...I plan on using them in a few more projects!

Wanna see the inside?

....and the star of the show...

FOOD!  What else?  food.

I fixed that "E".  ;-)  No time to retake the photo after I got it all edited.  No way.  Just imagine the "E" is chocolate.  ;-)  Cuz, it is now.  LOL.

Lots of things going on here.  Is it cohesive?  hmmm...Bright Ideas #6 - Ad Inspiration...using Front Row scrapbook kit, Popcorn add-on and Junior Mints add-on.  That aqua printed chipboard...is from Snippets!  and if you can find it...the lemon twist divine twine!

Definitely lots of product...and piles of enamel dots.  I love enamel dots.  I have an enamel dot is-shoe.  I love them.

Lots & lots of layers...and I love the picture of the Halloween Bash buffet!  That's not glare on the pic of the girl in the blue...that's string that was hanging & I took the picture "through".

This month, the stampin' Flybabies focused on crafty projects with a FOOD theme.  I think this fits the bill.

The Event: Halloween Party 2006

The decor!

This layout was inspired by an Anthropologie ad...and used Bright Idea #13 - double grid.   This is classwork for Studio Calico's February 2013 class.  Fun homework, eh?

I love the crashing witch!  LOL.  I used Phillip's sweatpants, my turtleneck, Phillip's rain boots, rubber gloves and a wigged witch hat.  I LOVE IT!  I get a big HEE HEE every time I see it.

The eyeballs are actually lights...the then BEAR den hung the lights in one of the trees.  They also put up the lighted skeleton emerging from the ground.  LOL.

The tin man pumpkin...I made!  :-D  I think it's so darn cute!  Boy...tell ya what...when painted pumpkin rots....whew.  ;-)

I almost used a whole roll of the woodgrain black washi tape.  yippee.  ;-)  I used my Dymo labeler and black embossing tape for the subtitles.  The title and the other labels are from an embossed sticker set I think I picked up from Oriental Trading.  I would venture a guess that the other stickers and the green bat paper are from Michael's, but don't quote me on that.  LOL.

It's a little over six years later and I'm still having fun with this Halloween Bash!

Pirates of the RINEY*TOWN

Um...yep...Halloween Bash 2006 and the theme was PIRATES!

I made some decorations that year...two of which became my all time favorite Hallween decorations.  My scarecrow pirate...a.k.a. Capt'n Jack...sadly...passed away this past Halloween.  He now lives in the landfill.  LOL.  What happened was with his weakened legs, he finally keeled over in a very strong wind.  The rum didn't help.  However, the anchors...have had one coat of paint since and grace the walls of my shop porch!  That's the pirate house.  LOL.

Check it out!

This is one of those pages that use things from fifty million kits and shop items...and stash.  LOL.  YES.  This is one of those layouts that result from a CRAFTSPLOSION!  Or maybe result in a craftsplosion.  In either case...that's all cleaned up.  **wink**

I really do love Studio Calico's classes.  The anchors were CUT IT OUT class materials and the OMW! outline of the Commonwealth of Kentucky is a cut file from the current BRIGHT IDEAS class.  Kinsey Wilson created upteen cut files...all the US states + several countries!

And this page was inspired by BRIGHT IDEA #3 - Map it!

The anchors were cut from POW Black Glitter paper, pierced and then hand stitched down with the AC Natural Jute.

Kit items.
  • From the BLOCK PARTY Scrapbook Kit: Thickers, Elf in Natural (American Crafts); Arrow / Geotag Thickers (Studio Calico).
  • From the Pioneer Drive Add-on: Micro Monogram Letters in Black (Basic Gray).
  • From the FRONT ROW Card Kit: Jute, NaturaL (American Crafts).
  • From the FRONT ROW Scrapbook Kit: die cut labels (Studio Calico).
  • From the Popcorn Add-on: Wood Chip Bubbles (Freckled Fawn).
Other supplies.
  • Paper: SU! Nautical Expedition, SU! Basic Black, SU! Paciffic Point, POW Black Glitter Paper.
  • Accessories: Cameo, Zig .05 Millenium in Pure Black & Pure Red, Hearts & Arrows Veneer (Studio Calico), Tiny Attacher, Pop Dots, Glue Dots
I have used lots & lots of favorite products!  I finally used that SU! Nautical Expedition paper I have loved for so long.  LOL.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a moo'valous day!

Welcome to Halloween Bash 2006

It feels soooo good...to be using my stash AND scrapping a stack of photos ALREADY printed!  :D  And of a fun fun time to boot!

Check it out.  This is the opening page of the Halloween Bash 2006 section of the Halloween Scrapbook.

I had fun with this.  This was the FIRST Halloween Bash we put on.  We had a blast.

I was inspired by a VSN challenge...and I created a scrapbook page.  While it is not a card, it does fall within the VSBN time limit of a 2 hour page.  (The card limit is 45 minutes.  Stitch like mad...you can do it in 2 hours.  **wink**)

I used the SC Sunday Sketch for 02.17.13, pulling in pieces from my SU! stash, SC's Front Row SB kit, Popcorn SB Add-on and some SC shop items.

The spider web is stitched! I stamped on scratch paper and then paper pierced a pattern that I stitched in with DMC floss. This is BRIGHT IDEA #8 - String Art. (Bright Ideas is a class I'm taking @ Studio Calico this month.)  The spiders are stamped, colored and then covered with Cyrstal Effects.

My favorite part was using Prima Chalk ink on the naked chipboard letters! Those letters are retired SU! On Board Letters. The ink is Prima Chalk Edger in Branch Bark!  They look like chocolate letters...good enough to eat!

I love veneer. Check out the veneer speech bubble and arrow from Freckled Fawn, geo-tags from Studio Calico and brackets from Sodalicious.
