Playing with new toys!

I've not grown up. (big grin) I remember my childhood excitement over a new toy or a new anything. Nowadays, I get apprehensive about new electronic toys and appliances - they DO have a learning curve, but I DO love my electronic gadgets. Oh...the conflicting emotions.

However, new SU! toys arrived on Monday. Yippiee! I put together this card for the SU! Team Swap on Sunday.

I love this card! There's no way I can make 13 of these exact same cards. (Twelve for the swap & one for me!) I cut into my 6 x 6 Hostess Prints Pack - there's only two 6 x 6 sheets of that particular pattern. See the strawberry bloom...I'd be B R O K E trying to come up with that many of the exact same bloom, not to mention the Felt Fusion behind the bloom. No worries on the rub ons...I think I have EIGHT packs of those SAB Love & Happiness Rub Ons! There's duplicates of several designs on a sheet. This year's SAB stamp sets just didn't enthuse me, but oh well. It's a good thing I love those Rub Ons!

Since the Tart & Tangy set has four fruits, I've decided to make similar cards with all four fruits, simply changing the color, while using the same type of supplies. I hope it will qualify as 12 swap cards. I'll make four of four designs (three cards of four designs for the swap, one card of each design for me). Guess I better email my upline (the hostess) and see if that will be OK.

Stay tuned for the next fruit.

Here's the recipe:

Stamps: Tart & Tangy
Paper: Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Hostess Prints Pack
Ink: Real Red, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: SAB Rub Ons (Love & Happiness in Old Olive), Felt Fusions (Old Olive), Pretties Kit, Summer Sun Brads, Red Gingham, Real Red 1/4" Grosgrain, Slit Punch, Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Basic Grey Rub On Tool, Martha Stewart Glue Pen, Chunky Glitter (Occasions Mini '08)
Techniques: Paper Piecing, Glitter, Punch
