Patch Sewing Boy Scout

One busy evening...

When you work a public job, when are your evenings NOT busy? Fixing supper, doing chores, getting ready for tomorrow...

One busy evening, DS wanted to SEW! (sigh) It was 7 PM and he wanted to sew his patches on a towel. I had other ideas for his patches...but I wasn't ready to do that just right now. (sigh) Then I thought...what could it hurt. I mean...he can sew...he wants to sew...they are his patches. I did lay them out and show him where to put them so that they all fit on nicely. But he did all the sewing. And he did an excellent job. He can wind bobbins and thread needles. He don't quite have the hang of threading the machine, but he's getting there.

I'm glad I took the time...cuz every night is a busy night. Not too many of them that you get to see your DS sewing!

All supplies are Stampin' Up!, except those Prima Flowers. The Good Morning Sunshine DP and the corduroy buttons arrived Friday! Love those buttons. That solid CS is Summer Sun; Summer Sun is supposed to be the color in the DP. That CS is an off color Summer Sun...actually, I think the DP is too light of a "Summer Sun", as the CS matches the Summer Sun in the 12 x 12 sheet of DP and not the strip on the right.

Stamped journaling lines with SU! retired Journaling Fun using SU! Chocolate Chip craft ink. Sketch is #20 from 52Sketches52Weeks. Rub-ons are Love and Happiness rub-ons in Chocolate Chip.

I love this color combo...yellow and brown...it's so "retro".
