Phillip & T-2

I decided to combine two of Sally's awesome sketches and create a double page spread featuring Phillip and T-2! The left side is SBSC186; the right page, SBSC185. I used paper and buttons from the Stampin Flybabies Spring 09 Craft Kit. I also broke out two old SU! cat stamp sets, some new rub-ons and dug through my stash for the rest. I'm very pleased with the results!

My favorite item used for the project has to be the FUN Making Memories Flower Garden circle paper. Some of those colorful circles are embossed and some are distressed. My favorite item overall has to be the FUN FUN kitty cat chorus line!

To create this, I dug out the circle from SU! Smile. On a strip of SU! Whisper White, I stamped the circle in random places in SU! Classic Ink - Blush Blossom, Regal Rose, Garden Green and Taken with Teal. The cat from SU! Cool Cat was stamped over using SU! Basic Black CRAFT ink. I wanted something dark that would show up really well against the color! Then a used glud dots to add Swarvoski Crytals and buttons.

Here's where I combined something old and something new! I punched SU! Whisper White with the new SU! Scalloped Oval Punch and added a rub-on from SU! Summer Love. The cats from SU! Cat's Meow were stamped in Versamark.

For the right hand side, I opted for a simpler layout. The chipboard circls is Bazzill Basic Paper Really Big Bazzill Chips - Impatiens Flower 5 Petal. What a mouthful for a name. Anyway, they are pretty neat. I wanted to use the negative to highlight the awesome dots in the Making Memories DP. The title was die cut using Sizzix and Lollipop Alphabet & Numbers. The ampersand is a rub-on from SU! Fashion District Rub-Ons.

The cut out, I decorated with buttons! The button flower has to be my favorite part of the right hand page. I thought it was a creative way to use up all those buttons.
