"Good morning!" said the prosecutor

"Yes it is," said Mr. Mason.

ha ha

I love Perry Mason. You can find him on Hallmark each Sunday afternoon and again, with the same show, that evening.

This was one of the older shows...Della Street had dark grey hair and Paul Drake (swoon) was the P.I. Mom had told me that the actor that plays Paul Drake is Barbara Hale's (Della Street's) son. I always thought that was so cool.

I guess Perry Mason reminds me of my Senior year High School English / Literature teacher - Mr. Blair. He was quite a formidable character. He was a BIG man, gruff and called everyone Mr. this & Ms. that. I can just HEAR him bellow "Beowulf!" Ugh. Have I mentioned I hated Lit?

Anyway...how about some close ups of the projects I posted yesterday. Here's some really yummy eye candy.

Yummy, huh? These are RSVP pens. Paper is from a Provo Craft slab. Cut DP 1 3/8" by 3 3/8". Run through Xyron and attached to a wiped down pen. Wiped down - wiped with my t'shirt to remove finger prints, oils, etc. Then attached sticky sheet cut in the same size, heated with heat gun, and rolled in beads.

Tied a piece of striped ribbon on the cap & viola!

I tried something new (to me) with the ribbon. I received this ribbon in one of TexasJodyLynn's ribbon shares. I colored one stripe of white with a Copic marker (the color matches SU! Pretty in Pink). I'll have to look that code up...

Enjoy!

It's all in a day's work.

I participated in a "spending challenge" in the SCS Flybaby Forum. Basically, the challenge was to go one month (May) without spending for any stamping related items. Fourteen participated in the challenge - each individual set goals. The ultimate purpose of the challenge was to use what we already have. Ya know...those stamps that haven't seen ink...all that DP (dew drops, primas, whatever) you're hoarding...

Mine was NO craft supply spending - that means no stamps, no embellishments, no ribbon, no designer paper, etc. I did spend on storage, as I was organizing my craft supplies.

Some individuals were very motivated in May to craft, craft, craft. Not me. :-(

I guess I was too overwhelmed by the "mess".

June rolled around...and WOW. I still haven't spent anything on crafting supplies. (insert shocked eyeballs here!) I, as did some others, volunteered to send something to the May spending challenge participants. In keeping with the spirit of Flylady, I wanted to create something useful without spending any additional money. Take a look.

It was all in a day's work. Really - it took eight hours to create all that stuff!

Need a closer look?

Stay tuned for information on individual projects.

:-D

I found my mojo! I found my mojo! (jumping up & down)

YAY me! (said in London fashion - does anyone watch The Suite Life of Zack & Cody?)

Well...here's the second card I created since I found my mojo.

Oh -I love this monkey. Is he cute or what? I created this for an SCS Flybaby Stampendous Swap.

I received the ribbon from Wish-RAK - I believe this came from NDStamper in our Color Me exchange. Guess what my color was?

The yellow is the swirly Barely Banana print from SU!'s Palette of Prints. I love this sketch. It's simple, but packs a lot of punch.

Changito, my other son, was colored using Copic markers. Here's a list of colors I used:

  • R46 matches Real Red

  • E11 matches Blush Blossom

  • YG67 matches Garden Green

  • E33 matches Creamy Caramel

  • E37

  • Y17 matches Summer Sun

I hope Changito makes you smile!
